FRIENDS OF ELLIS
BECOME AN AMBASSADOR
Help create the experience. Not just attend it.
Friends of Ellis isn't built by Event Hosts alone.
It's built by members who help welcome new faces, move tables, answer questions, introduce people, clean up, solve little problems and help make the room feel like somewhere people want to return.
The Ambassador Program gives trusted FoE members a way to become part of that experience.

WHAT DOES AN AMBASSADOR DO?
Whatever helps the event run better and helps people feel more welcome.
WELCOME PEOPLE
Greet guests, help newer members get oriented and make the room feel less intimidating.
|
HELP THE HOSTS
Assist with setup, takedown and the little operational things that keep an event moving.
|
CONNECT PEOPLE
Introduce members, answer questions and help people become part of the larger community.
|
LEAD BY EXAMPLE
Ambassadors help demonstrate the culture, respect and friendliness we want FoE known for.
|
WHY BECOME AN AMBASSADOR?
Because helping can be part of the fun.
Ambassadors get to know more people, become more involved in the community and help shape the experience other members have when they attend FoE.
You'll also earn Ambassador Points that may be redeemed toward eligible future Friends of Ellis events.
As your participation grows, you'll advance through permanent Ambassador Levels and unlock additional appreciation rewards.
AMBASSADOR LEVELS
Completed Ambassador Teams move you through permanent levels.

HOW IT WORKS
Four steps. Pretty simple.
STEP 1 — BECOME AN APPROVED AMBASSADOR
Prospective Ambassadors should be active Friends of Ellis members who understand the culture, values and expectations of the community.
Participation in the Ambassador Program requires approval by FoE leadership.
Before volunteering for your first event, you'll complete the Friends of Ellis Ambassador Agreement and Confidentiality Agreement.
STEP 2 — CHOOSE AN ELIGIBLE EVENT & TEAM
Eligible events may include Ambassador Team Reservations alongside the normal registration options.
Examples may include:
Opening Team Ambassador Reservation
Closing Team Ambassador Reservation
These reservations are listed at $0.00 and reserve your Ambassador position for that event.
Ambassador positions are limited, so only reserve a Team if you genuinely intend to participate.
If something changes, let us know as soon as possible so another Ambassador has the opportunity to take the position.
STEP 3 — HELP CREATE A GREAT EVENT
Arrive ready to begin before your scheduled Team time.
Ambassadors may assist with welcoming guests, supporting Event Hosts, setup or cleanup, event operations and whatever reasonable tasks help the event run smoothly.
Before or after completing your Team, you're free to enjoy the remainder of the event whenever applicable.
STEP 4 — EARN POINTS & ADVANCE
After successfully completing your Team, your Ambassador Points and completed Team count will be added to your Ambassador account.
Use eligible points toward future FoE events and continue progressing through the Ambassador Levels.
AMBASSADOR MEANS TRUST.
You're helping represent FoE, not just carrying tables.
Ambassadors may hear questions, see situations or become aware of information that other members reasonably expect to remain private.
That's why Ambassadors are approved rather than simply signing up.
We expect Ambassadors to respect member privacy, follow FoE standards, work well with Event Hosts and use good judgment.
Being an Ambassador does not make someone FoE management, security, a relationship counselor or the person who gets to invent new rules.
When something is beyond your role, find an Event Host.
LIFE COMES FIRST.
We mean that.
Our goal is not to build a workforce.
Family. Work. Health. Vacations. Life. Personal well-being.
Those things come first.
We don't expect Ambassadors to volunteer at every event or prove their commitment by burning themselves out.
Help once a month. Help a few times a year. Take six months off. Come back when life settles down.
We want people excited to help, not obligated to help.
IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?
The best Ambassador isn't necessarily the loudest person in the room.
Dependable
Friendly
Approachable
Respectful
Comfortable helping other people
Willing to follow direction
Able to protect member privacy
Someone who leads by example
HELP BUILD THE ROOM YOU WANT TO WALK INTO.
Good events don't happen by accident.
They happen because people show up, help, welcome others and care about the experience everybody else is having.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, talk with FoE leadership about becoming an Ambassador.
